I came to Innovative Health & Fitness last summer because I had a goal of doing a Triathlon and I needed a place to practice swimming. I am glad to say I did complete the J. Hawk Sprint Tri last fall and I plan on doing it again this year.
I was overweight and diabetic – insulin dependent. Over the last three years I’ve been able to lose 155 lbs. I started with my Fitbit and my goal was to hit 10,000 steps a day. Once I met that goal, I set a new one of 12,000. I’ve really tried to make my goals small and attainable knowing this was a permanent lifestyle change. I am happy to say after 10 years I no longer need to take any medication for diabetes. It’s a great victory. I’m so glad I stayed determined and reached my goal. I wish I would of done it sooner.
