With the holidays coming up, people tend to get off track in their fitness journey. Here are a few tips to keep you on track:
-
Have set times and a plan for working out. Whether that’s meeting with a trainer, signing up for a group exercise class or going for a walk. Plan out your week ahead of time. People who schedule a time to workout tend to prioritize that time for themselves and stay consistent.
-
Workout with a friend! This helps to hold both sides accountable and deter you from canceling at the last minute. Plus workouts are more fun with a friend!
-
Re-establish goals! Make sure they are achievable. Keeping goals in mind gives you a purpose for why you are working out and eating right.
-
Meal planning helps to keep you away from those sweet treats and helps to get the good nutrients in your body. If you must, limit the number of sweets you eat. It’s ok to enjoy a treat now and then, but limit yourself.
-
Make sure you hydrate consistently, even on the weekends. With the cooler weather, many are less likely to drink water. Look for healthier beverage options. A lot of our favorite alcoholic and coffee beverages are packed full of calories and sugar!
